Hello! I love experimenting with different nail looks and this is my latest one which only requires nail polish and a sponge. I don't know what to call this because its not really a specific design, but I do like the look. It's a mix of quite a few colors that blend together to create a watercolor or kaleidoscope effect. I love this look because it looks like you spent a ton of time on your nails while still be super easy to achieve at home. Besides regular nail polish, the only tool you need is a makeup sponge so you probably already have these items in your home. Here's how you can get this look at home:
These are the colors I used (Clockwise from the top)
Extreme Color Nail Lacquer in Ice (This is pretty old so I couldn't find a link)
OPI Nail Lacquer in All Rose Lead to Rome (This is discontinued)
Revlon Nail Enamel in Silver Dollar link!
Maybelline Colorama in 107 Turquoise Seas (This is another discontinued color)
OPI Nail Lacquer in Kinki in Helsinki link!
I also used a triangular makeup sponge that I cut into 5 pieces. Then I poured out a small bit of each color onto a paper plate and started randomly dabbing on each color. I did this right on top of a clear base coat, but you can use any color that you would like as your base. I just kept dabbing on the colors until I was happy with the look. I let this fully dry before adding a glittery top coat. I was so excited to do this that I totally forgot to take pictures!
This is the Wet n Wild Wild Shine nail color in Kaleidoscope link! which is a clear color with holographic glitter that I used as a top coat. I only applied one coat in the picture, but since then I have applied another coat to add more glitter. That's all there is to it for this super easy nail look! I really love this color combination, but you can use any colors that you like with this look. I had a lot of fun doing this and I can't wait to try this again with different colors. I love experimenting with nail art so please leave your recommendations for other nail looks in the comments below.
See you soon,
